The Santos Manuel Student Union North formally opened it's doors with a ribbon-cutting ceremony welcoming more than 500 people- students, faculty, staff, administrators, dignitaries and members of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians. Guests were gifted exclusive commemorative items and invited to enjoy live music, food, tours of the building, games and other activities.

The branding for this event was created to emphasize the student union's support of CSUSB's mission to elevate school spirit. Much of the Grand Opening's elements are inspired by the university's branding, but also includes elements to encourage the viewer that this is a new exciting experience on campus.

Icons were created for the event legend and converted to a customized typeface for ease of inclusion throughout the brochure design.

This commemorative enamel pin was produced working directly with the manufacturers to create CSUSB's premiere interactive pin that features illustrations of the first Student Union building and the newest building symbolizing a continuation of the Student Union's mission to serve the campus and CSUSB's students.
